The Pokostivske deposit is located in the Zhytomyr region.
Pokostivsky granite is the most popular in Ukraine. The stone has a medium-grained structure, predominantly gray in color with light inclusions. In terms of density and strength, this stone is unparalleled. The heavy and moisture-resistant Kosivsky granite retains its attractive appearance for two to three centuries, without fading or losing color. Its level of natural radioactivity falls into the first class, meaning it can be used for construction purposes without limitation. The material is highly amenable to all types of processing.

Processing of granite tiles

Polishing

In the process of mechanical processing, polishing pastes and powders are used. As a result, a mirror surface is formed on the product, that is, the beauty of the natural stone pattern is fully revealed.

Heat treatment

A rough surface with traces of peeling is obtained due to the use of gas burners and under the influence of high temperatures. This process is used to provide products with an anti-slip surface.

sawing

A rough surface of a natural stone, on which traces of peeling from the effect of a high-temperature plasma jet (gas burner) are visible, with a well-defined relief structure of the stone.

  • heat-treated tile – due to the features of the treatment, this material has a rough surface.
  • An ideal option for use on the street, in winter, such tiles practically do not slide
  • sawdust tiles have uneven depressions on the surface, this is an imitation of natural damage
  • buchard tile has a uniform rough surface on which damage was specially caused
  • of different depth
